Climate and best time to visit

There is no single best time to visit Morocco. The right season depends on whether you want cities, coast, mountains or desert.

Spring (March to May)

Warm days and green landscapes. Ideal for imperial cities, the Atlas and the desert.

Summer (June to August)

Inland cities and the desert are very hot. Choose the Atlantic coast, Essaouira, Tangier or the Middle Atlas.

Autumn (September to November)

Comfortable temperatures return and the sea is still warm. A good all-round season.

Winter (December to February)

Mild on the southern coast and in Marrakech by day, cold at night. Snow in the Atlas, and the wettest season in the north.
